Loïescópio é a primeira obra da série "Objeto Sonho", inspirada no Kinetoscópio, de Thomas Edison, e na obra da artista Loïe Fuller, "Dança Serpentina". A obra convida o espectador a olhar para dentro da máquina através de uma lente, colocar o fone de ouvido e embarcar na experiência visual e sonora de um objeto espelhado, em movimento circular. Através de botões dispostos na caixa, o espectador controla o ritmo da luz, a frequência sonora e a velocidade do giro.
A obra fez parte da exposição "Galáxias do cinema: máquinas, engrenagens, movimentos ou the strange little thing about love", no Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, com a curadoria de Hernani Heffner, além da exposição "Transfluências", realizada no Paço Imperial, e "Matéria Muta", na Fábrica Bhering, ambas em 2022, ao lado de outras duas obras da série - Giroscópio e Kellyscópio. As três máquinas também participaram da IX Bienal da EBA, no Paço Imperial, em 2023.
Loïescope is the first work of the series "Object Dream". The series is composed of interactive and sensorial works inspired by the machines and optical toys of the pre-cinema period. In the series, she investigates the relationship between light, movement and sound, reflecting on the technological means of the moving image and the hidden poetry that they carry.
Loïescope is inspired by Thomas Edison's Kinetoscope, and in the work of Loïe Fuller, "Serpentine Dance". The work invites the viewer to look into the machine through a lens, put on the headset and embark on the visual and sonic experience of a mirrored object in a circular motion. Through buttons arranged in the box, the viewer controls the rhythm of the light, the sound frequency and the speed of the spin.
The work was part of the exhibition "Galaxies of the cinema: machines, gears, movements or the strange little thing about love", in the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro, curated by Hernani Heffner, and the exhibition "Transfluências", held at Paço Imperial, and "Matéria Muta", at Fábrica Bhering, both in 2022.
